Ford Tour de Georgia

1:00pm children's activities and Healthy Georgia Expo begins, 4:30/5:30pm approximate range for cyclists to finish. Racing across the state of Georgia, cyclists will travel six days and over 650 miles in this internationally recognized event. Similar to the Tour de France, fifteen teams from over twenty countries are expected to compete. Beginning in Augusta, GA on Tuesday, April 18th, North America’s premier professional cycling event includes six stages with the final stage on Sunday, April 23rd from Cumming to Alpharetta. The Ford Tour de Georgia’s finish line is on Morrison Parkway at Haynes Bridge Road with a Grand Finale of six exhilarating laps. Official beneficiary for the event is the Georgia Cancer Coalition. We invite you to participate in our Alpharetta Arts StreetFest We will close the downtown streets and fill them with original high-quality art from artists throughout the South. Artist tents will line Milton Avenue along with theatrical performances, live musical entertainment and festival cuisine adding to the atmosphere. In addition we will have “Art In Action,” a children’s interactive art area offering young art enthusiasts the opportunity to create their own original artwork at the festival. Complimenting the event, our charming downtown shops and restaurants will also be open for the occasion. Parking available at the Old Milton High School and at City Hall.
